Blurriness of Social Media

In different relationships, there are many different factors that a couple can define as cheating. In other words, what is considered cheating, and how much does it take to cross that marital boundary as suggested in the article that discussed infidelity. What constitutes cheating using social media? A photo? Text messages to another person outside of the relationship? It all depends on the married couple.

In some extreme cases, a person in the relationship can consider even something as simple as liking an Instagram post that contains an unknown person as cheating. In the opposite end, a couple may not consider something as extreme as watching adult content or even having a polyamorous relationship as cheating. Conclusively, the line that separates cheating from tolerable actions is subjective amongst different couples in a relationship.

While cheating is something that no person wants to experience, it can happen. There are a couple of ways to prevent a person in a relationship from having misconceived notions of infidelity. The recommended method is to ensure that both partners in a relationship sit down and discuss different things that make the one or the other person uncomfortable and feel that it can cross the aforementioned line/boundary.

Furthermore, it is recommended that the couple in question commit to a relationship where both partners remain perfectly honest with each other and take the time to discuss any problems that may or may not affect the both of them. In doing so, it prevents any misunderstanding from occurring.
